Aerial Hammocks Classes for AdultsOur Aerial Hammocks classes extend beyond traditional Yoga in a hammock! In these exciting classes, you will learn how to utilize the hammock while incorporating flow, fluidity and aerial maneuvers.

Aerial Hammocks classes are 60 minutes in length and may be purchased through enrollment in one of our Membership Clubs or by purchasing a Drop-In Package.

Due to the progressive nature of these classes, new students may only be permitted in Intro Classes or Tier 1 classes, unless you have received an evaluation for placement in a higher tier. If you are new to Rising Goddess Fitness and would like to try Aerial Hammocks, enroll in one of our Intro or Tier 1 classes by purchasing our New Student Special!

Class Attire: Please do not wear clothing with zippers or anything that could potentially snag the hammock material. Jewelry (especially rings) may not be worn during class.

Please wear leggings or workout pants that cover the backs of your knees. Students should also wear a shirt that covers their underarms. Class is held barefoot or in socks.

Tier 1: Foundations Level

Duration: Students will remain at the Foundations Level for a total of 8 weeks (60 minutes per class).

Welcome to the exciting world of Aerial Hammocks! This class is a fun, unique and challenging introduction to aerial dance that utilizes fabrics to not only engage your entire body but also help develop flexibility and grace. Enrollment in this class requires no prior experience and curriculum is designed for those completely new to Aerial Hammocks. Learn to gracefully move inside and outside of the apparatus, manipulating your body in ways never imagined, all while developing core strength and flexibility.

The class will include a mix of flexibility and fitness exercises with the hammocks in addition to learning basic dance combinations. After 8 consecutive weeks in this level, you will leave with a series of skills structured around a mini-routine sequence. Come soar with us in this exhilarating class!

Prerequisites: None.

Tier 2: Beginner Level

Duration: Students will remain at the Beginner Level for a total of 8 weeks (60 minutes per class).

This class is the successor to our Aerial Hammock Foundations class. Now that you’ve got some Aerial Hammocks fundamentals under your belt, we will begin building your strength and flexibility through more challenging aerial combos and exercises. This class will prepare you to move on to our Intermediate Level class.

Prerequisites: Completion of our Foundations Level or instructor approval. If you have questions about your skill level, please contact us for correct class placement.

Tier 3: Transitions Level

Duration: Students will remain at the Transitions Level for a total of 8 weeks (60 minutes per class).

This class will serve as the bridge between the Beginner Level and Intermediate Level in Aerial Hammocks. Expect to learn some exciting new tricks including Superman, Pencil Series, Hip Key and a variety of Candy Canes! This class will prepare you to move on to the Intermediate Level.

Tier 4: Intermediate Level

Duration: Students will remain at the Intermediate Level for a minimum of 20 weeks before requesting instructor approval prior to requesting progression on to the Advanced Level (60 minutes per class).

It’s time to take your Aerial Hammocks practice to the next level! We will invert, soar, spin, flip and more in this fun and challenging class! Building off the material learned in our Beginner Level Hammocks class, we will take things up a notch with interesting combinations and aerial maneuvers. By the end of the session, you will leave with a series of skills structured around a mini-routine sequence.

Tier 5: Advanced Level

Duration: Ongoing (60 minutes per class).

You are really moving up – literally! This class will expand upon the curriculum taught in the Intermediate Level. Many of the tricks taught in this class will resemble upper level tricks taught in Pole Fitness as students learn moves such as Aerial Inverts, Chopsticks, Meat Hook, Russian Fish, and Yogini. This class will prepare you to move on to our Elite Level class.

Aerial Hammocks Fabric Flow

Duration: Class is held in 4-week session increments (60 minutes per class).

Looking to be more comfortable moving and dancing in your hammock routines? In this flow and fluidity based class, we will explore floor work, accents, transitions, mounts, dismounts, turns and combining both new and well-known moves.

Each week during the four-week session, we will add on a flowy dance sequence. By the time end of the session, you will have learned a complete dance routine! We will also experiment with movement while utilizing different music genres to help inspire you. Class will end with deep stretching to aid in flexibility for splits and back bends.

Prerequisite: Enrollment in this class is limited to students that are currently enrolled in our Transitions Level class or higher. If you have questions about your current skill level, please contact us for correct class placement.
